From Chaos to Clarity: The Cure for Cranial Rectal Syndrome

November 26, 20245 min read

Darling, if you want to flourish, you’ve got to get your head out of your own way, elevate your frequency, and decide who you’re ready to become—right now. The world needs your brilliance. Let’s reset and rise!

Listen Up Good People: It’s Time for a Cranial Rectal Reset!

Alright, my loves, let’s get honest, because we’re in a moment that demands it. Years ago, in 2007, I found myself in a coaching session with a client who simply couldn’t stop venting about her mother and how she grew up. After what felt like hours—and multiple sessions—of circling the same mountain, I finally leaned in and said:

“Listen, if you’re ever going to be who you’re meant to be, you’ve got to get your head out of your ass, forgive your mother, forgive yourself, and make a decision about who you want to be now.

It was bold. It was raw. And it was exactly what she needed. Today, every time I see her, she laughs and thanks me for that moment because it shifted her perspective. She realized how she was lowering her vibration, running negative processes on herself, and fragmenting her excellence and power—all while damaging her authentic frequency. And here’s the kicker: she was the only one who could change it.

Now, let me explain what I mean when I say “cranial rectal reset.” It’s a humorous but powerful way to describe the process of getting unstuck from self-sabotage—a negative, self-focused, or unproductive mindset. Think of “cranial rectal” as both a visual and a metaphor for being so caught up in your own frustrations, blame, doubt, lack of self-awareness, or victim mentality that you can’t see the bigger picture—possibilities, or even a way forward.

The “reset” part is the shift. It’s about becoming aware of where you’ve been stuck, deciding to release those patterns, and intentionally choosing to do something about it besides complaining. It’s about elevating your energy and perspective—moving from self-pity, blame, or negativity to clarity, setting goals that align with your purpose, and confidently enriching your life. This means creating new experiences, connections, and actions that empower you, contribute to others, and move you closer to your big-life-game.

Fast forward to today...

Let’s be real—too many are feeling it. The world feels heavy right now, doesn’t it? There’s frustration everywhere: the recent election and politics, the economy, careers and frustration with work, a lack of resources, relationships (or the lack of them—loneliness), unruly children, disrespectful people, and the overwhelming sense of not knowing how to move forward or who to turn to.

But here’s the thing: if you’ve been suffering from cranial rectal—yep, that condition where your head seems permanently lodged in negative, low-vibration, unproductive, or stuck thinking—cheer up! There’s a cure to help you get your head out of your ass and keep it out.

The truth is, we could complain about it all day long and all next year. But why carry that negativity on your back like a pair of cinder blocks, making you heavy and anxious? Why let it weigh us down when we have the power to pivot, shift, and elevate our frequency to flourish mode?

How to Pivot, Shift, and Elevate Your Frequency

  1. Get Your Head Out of the Fog
Yes, I said it. This isn’t about blame—it’s about clarity. Take a moment to look at where you’ve been stuck. What’s looping in your mind? What stories or patterns are dragging your energy down?

  2. Let Go of the Complaints
Complaining feels good in the moment, but it doesn’t create solutions. Instead, focus on what is good in your life and what you can control. Shift your energy toward solutions, not problems.

  3. Forgive and Let Go
Whether it’s a grudge, a disappointment, or even forgiving yourself, release it. Holding onto negativity fragments your energy and keeps you from flourishing.

  4. Elevate YourSELF Through Gratitude
Gratitude is your power tool. Every single day, find reasons to be thankful—even in the hard moments. Gratitude lifts your frequency like nothing else can. Be grateful.

  5. Be Intentional About Your Environment
Energy is contagious. Surround yourself with people, places, and activities that light you up—not bring you down. Be mindful.

  6. Move, Breathe, and Reset
Energy flows where motion goes. Whether it’s a walk, dance, or yoga, get your body moving. Pair it with deep, intentional breathing to reset your mind and spirit.

  7. Speak Life Into Your Year Ahead
Your words create your reality. Be intentional about aligning your words with your goals, and speak them over your life starting today. Choose high-level words of possibility, abundance, authenticity, and excellence.

Why Now Is the Moment to Reset

My loves, the energy we take into the next year matters more than ever. The world is noisy, the stakes are high, and if we’re not careful, we’ll let the chaos keep us small, frustrated, out of alignment, and blaming others. But that’s not who we are. Believe me when I tell you we’re women, men, and leaders who are here to flourish.

To do that, we have to get intentional. We have to reset, pivot, and raise our frequency to a level where we’re not just surviving, but thriving. This isn’t just about you—it’s about everyone you’ll inspire when you show up in your wonderful, authentic excellence.

So, if you’ve been stuck in cranial rectal, don’t worry—you’re not alone, and there’s a cure for that. Take a moment to evaluate where you are and where you want to go. Start by taking the Personal Excellence Profile (PEP) assessment to see where your authentic frequency stands right now. The PEP gives you clarity and helps you create a plan to shift into your next-level self.

Let’s leave the negativity behind, forgive what needs forgiving, release what needs releasing, and step boldly into a higher version of ourselves. The world needs your brilliance, and it’s waiting for you to flourish.

Are you ready? Let’s go!
